About US

My photo
Nate and I have been married for 2 and a half years now now which has gone by pretty fast! In January we were blessed to have Brynlee join our family. Nate works as a software engineer at Novell and I am so grateful for the hard worker he is and how he goes to work every day to support us. He is the best husband to me and the best dad to Brynlee and she can't get enough of him. I stay at home with Brynlee along with doing esthetics part time. And Brynlee just stays busy keeping us smiling everyday! We couldn't be a happier little family!

Strawberry fields, Plantation Houses, Atlanta

These two pictures are at the plantaion houses, the one below was the biggest one. If you look really hard you can see us on top of the stairs.
In the good old days, this was the bathroom. Try going at the same time along with 3 others. I am sure glad we have stalls with doors on them these days! (the 4th hole got cut off)

Nate and his parents holding our hand picked straweberries in our bucket in the strawberry field

Nate couldn't wait long enough to put them in the bucket so they made it to his mouth and I don't think he got a lot in the bucket. Good thing there were 3 others of us so we were able to make it home with enough :)

Last week Nate or I should say Nathaniel (thats what he is known by in Georgia) and I went for a short visit to Dunwoody Georgia to visit his family. We were there for almost a week, so we tried to fit in as much as we could. We didn't get too many pictures cuz we were slackers, but thats what our memory is for right!? :) We went to the lake for the first couple of days which is always tradition. Besides seeing his family, that is what he LOVES about Georgia We also were able to go to a Strawberry field to pick strawberries. You fill up a bucket with as many strawberries as you can fit, and they were so fresh. I wish we had somewhere here like that to just go pick fresh fruit! We were able to go to the "plantation houses" in Georgia. That was pretty neat to see the old homes and how they lived back in the days. It was cool to see the slaves houses, and how all of that took place. It was really interesting to see cuz you here about it in history but it was neat to actually be there. Then another day we went to downtown Atlanta and hung out there for the afternoon. We actually were able to go take a tour of Martin Luther Kings birth house which was pretty neat as well. I guess you can say this last trip was kind of a history tour which was neat because we haven't ever done that before. Besides all that, we were able to just hang out with his familiy and enjoy the "southern" life. Thanks so much Kranendonks for letting us come spend the week with you, we can't wait till we get to come back next summer :)

Arizona

This past weekend Nate and I were able to take a nice long road trip down to Arizona to visit my sister and her husband. We didn't leave until after work on Wednesday night so we ended up staying in Vegas for the night. We really just walked around so there wasn't anything too exciting to take a picture of so I just ended up taking one of Nate in front of the Bilagio Water Show. We left the next morning bright and early to finish out our drive. I had to put the picture of the Hoover Dam up because Nate insisted I take a picture of it since it was a famous scene in "Superman" I wasn't up for it because my ear was killing me but I took it anyway since it was such a memorable moment for him :) We finally arrived to my sisters apartment then we all went bowling. We didn't do to much that day cuz I spent most of the day in Urgent Care finding out that I got a ruptured eardrum and that was why my ear was killing me. Needless to say, it put a damper on swimming or any fun activities for me and being able to hear out of my right ear for at least a year. Although it was a great excuse so nobody could push in the pool since my brothers think that is so fun to do :) I still had a good time though just being able to relax and taking it easy! We went out to dinner twice and both times we celebrated Nate and my brother Colby's Birthday. That is what those lovely balloon hats are in the pictures, and the cupcakes from the second restaraunt. To sum it up it was a great trip, fun to see where Bri and Bret live and their lifestyle and we will for sure be going back!!

California!

This past week Nate was so willing to let me go on a trip with my mom, my sister, and my grandmother down to San Diego to visit my aunt and her 4 kids while her husband was away for business. It was so great to spend time with all of them! We went to parks, went on walks, went mini golfing, hung around the house and just got to spend a good few days together. My aunt actually ended up getting appendicitis and having to go to the hospital, so we were able to spend a couple days watching her kids which was so great to be able to spend one-on-one time with them. They sure kept us busy but they were so fun! I LOVED it. Her 2 oldest did a run-a-thon so we were able to go cheer them on. They are all such cute kids!! (We really only took a few pictures which is the reason I am wearing the same shirt in most of them :) I love California, I love the Arnlolds and I can't wait until I get to go back!

Picture Tag!

So I was tagged by Misty. I got into my sixth folder on my computer and found my sixth picture. This picture was taken about 2 yrs ago. Nate and I were dating and it was my first time visiting Georgia. One of the days we spent in downtown Atlanta and this was at the Coke Museum. We were about to go see the 3D movie, as you can tell by the glasses :)
I tag: Marcie, Kim, Bethany, Melissa, Devyn, Alyssa and Cindi

Bear Lake (My Family)

Over thanksgiving we were able to go up to Bear Lake with all my extended family for our annual family reunion. We stayed in a huge lodge that fit all 35 of us, with each of us still getting our own bed! There were three different levels. The top level had all of the bedrooms, with 5 different suites. The main level had a huge kitchen/family room, lots of space for everyone to just hang out and the basement was a huge game room. There was air hockey, ping pong, fusbal, and a great big theatre so were able to watch a lot of great movies. It was a lot of fun and a great place to get away!
